Pranav’s Story
Born into a musician’s family, it wasn’t a surprise about Pranav’s inclination towards music since childhood. Traditionally associated, Pranav’s passion can be traced back to his ancestors who used to worship God through music by playing Pakhawaj instrument. Surrounded by melody and listening to his parents constantly, it was inevitable that his training in Tabla began at a very tender age of 3. His journey slowly evolved into a full-time profession which he is pursuing passionately.
Pranav gives credit to his father for being his first music teacher. Being an expert himself, Pranav’s father taught him the basic syllables and language of Tabla. Early in his music education, he got an opportunity to learn from one of the greats, Pandit Nana Mulye, a well-known Tablaplayer. There was no looking back after that! He later on, started his training under Shri. Suresh Samant, a well-established Guru in the field of Tabla for a solid decade.
